Bio...

During her studies at ENSAAMA, rue Olivier de Serres, Paris, she prepared a "BTS" diploma of visual images expression, discovered the Japanese culture and became passionate about calligraphy and the art of packaging.
This passion induced her to go and live in Tokyo in 1990 where she would discover, while working for an Advertisement Agency, the calligraphy, that she has been practicing during several years with Master Séki, from the Kokusui school.

During 10 years, she switched between edition and packaging and came back in the neighborhood of Paris in 1999, where she is now a graphist artist in a design company.
From then, she started to paint on canvas, while pursuing her studies through a correspondance course with her teacher of calligraphy.

None of Milvia’s canvas resemble each other and evolve with the passing time and her desires. If there are sometimes the expression of an instant and unconstrainedly movement (free the gesture from the Mind), there can also navigate through the twists and turns of words and signs.
Milvia plays with our own readings, discovering new encoded langages, appearing and disapearing deep down into colours and rythms.

Prints ? Signs ? Traces ? A past as though erased and written again…
